The Quantum Science Information & Technology Centre for Doctoral Training (QIST CDT) offers a unique training and development experience for those wishing to pursue a career in the emerging field of quantum science, from theory to technologies. We offer multiple fully funded PhD positions (£21,780  stipend + tuition fees in 2025/26) at the University of Bristol and University of Sussex.  

Our Open Day is aimed at encouraging all students to consider continuing their quantum information science and technologies studies at the PhD level. There will be ample time to talk in small groups to the other participants who are facing the same decisions, and to current PhD students who have recently faced the same questions. It will address the nature of PhD research, the work environment, the application process, and career options. It will also provide an opportunity to visit the dedicated QIST CDT facilities and discuss all your questions around PhD study.
